Zetterburn sets fire to an entire town, and would have completely obliterated it, if not for the interference of Orcane. Zetterburn: While I attempted to calc Zetterburn's feat, the game's lack-luster art does not pay justice to what this feat is. Generally storms of this nature would be either 7-C or 7-B. The most logical method would be by creating a storm, which would easily wind up in tier 7 due to the needed speed and size. He is able to put out the flames of an entire town via an unknown method. Orcane: A lovable dog-whale, Orcane actually never has an on-screen shot of the feat that winds him in tier 7. While not the top dogs used for scaling, they are in the same general tier (Tier 7) and serve as good supporters for the rating.

These characters are extremely strong, and show some of the highest feats of power that the verse has to offer. This destruction should be equal or superior to Kragg's pillar destruction, easily landing Maypul in either 8-C or High 8-C Heavy Hitters Maypul: Though she generally relies on quick attacks, she is able to lay siege to the Rock Wall, shattering massive pieces of it.

He is able to accurately knock opposing fliers out of the air from tens of meters away with this massive boulder, despite its size. In addition to this, he is able to lift a massive, ten-thousand+ kilogram rock and throw it around like it is nothing more than a baseball. He can shatter these pillars, a feat that has been calculated at 8-C. Kragg: A defender and Wallbuilder of the Rock Wall, Kragg is able to call forth massive pillars of rock. This alone should put him into either 9-A or 8-C, eyeballing the feat. He can then use this smoke to trigger a large and violent explosion. He would land somewhere within high-end Tier 9, either in high-end 9-B or moving into 9-A.įorsburn: Forsburn is a master of smoke, and is able to expel massive clouds of it on command. Even still, his massive size and strength allows him to slam together multi-meter chunks of ice at subsonic speeds and shatter small glaciers. She is able to take hits from a massive robot that, through sheer size alone, should be able to hit with at least 8-C levels of energy, even without scaling it.Įtalus: Although he is able to fend off being that can destroy entire towns, without scaling he is much more mundane. These characters have some mild feats of their own, landing them in blatantly superhuman, yet generally unimpressive, levels.Ĭlairen: Wielding a blade of pure plasma, she is able to unleash gouts of searingly hot plasma to destroy targets. A purely featless character outside of scaling, he would land in 9-C on his own merit due to his devastating hand-to-hand combat prowess. Although he gains scaling by being able to fight with enemy generals such as Zetterburn, he is only a melee combatant that has not destroyed, created, or done anything impressive. Wrastor: Without scaling, Wrastor has shown literally nothing. Ranno: A DLC character with essentially zero story, aside from assuming he is comparable to the other Rivals he has nothing except a brief mention of being a martial arts master. They boast nearly nothing of their own, and rely exclusively on scaling to get out of even the lowest tiers. These characters are bottom of the barrel in terms of feats. Although if she had the exact same power of her original self, she would be 7-B. I will be excluding the Rivals of Aether version of Ori, since she is a crossover character. If you’re new to Rivals of Aether, we gave the game a glowing review last year, praising it as “a more competitive alternative to Super Smash Bros.” and stating that fans of Melee’s fast-paced fighting in particular “should absolutely check the game out.I decided to get together a compendium of the RoA cast's feats, going through each individual character and seeing what they have done and can do in lore and story to see what level they are at without any scaling. Their designs are fantastically unique and they all seem right at home among the rest of the official cast.

The new fighters include Mollo, the Smoldering Rage Hodan, the Hot Springs Sage Pomme, the Superstar Songstress and Olympia, the Amethyst Fist. The development team has now curated the very best fan creations and is officially introducing four original characters into the Nintendo Switch and Steam versions of the game via the Workshop Character Pack.

The PC version of the game added Steam Workshop support back in 2019, and the community has produced a ton of excellent playable fighters since then. Ultimate, similar-style brawler Rivals of Aether now has new content available that may whet your appetite in the meantime. For those eagerly awaiting the next fighter reveal for Super Smash Bros.
