I hope this will help some folks out there to avoid the frustration.Concluding Thoughts Best Free Karaoke Software 2022 (Windows & Mac):īelow mentioned are some of the most popular and free Karaoke apps for Windows and Mac that you must try in 2022. All evidence points to the crapware known as Easytune (and its associated service/daemons etc.) It also means that Gigabytes SIV is useless without those. I do NOT think it is an accident or coincidence. Check the SSD temp, it is easily cooler by 10 degrees C. Load up Overwatch, go thru a few matches, I suck like crap, but not a single microstutter in 45 minutes. So now I restore by cloned windows image again, and avoid installing the crapware.

So I had no choice but to start uninstalling the Gigabyte stuff, starting with utilities, and going all the way back to the chipset INF stuff if I really had to, and use Intel's drivers from their download site.Īlong the way the moment I uninstalled the Gigabyte Easytune along with its crappy Easytune Engine service, and GService crap, I run the userbench and boom I see this: But the list of installed software is really short now. Once again same crappy on the Deep Queue 4K.

So at this point I do a clean install and load everything. And the userbench game a small lead looking at the Deep Queue 4K results. Most people would be happy with results like that, but something didn't feel right.

This not anywhere close to thorough, but run userbench, this obviously with Gigabyte's Easytune crapware all loaded. The GTX1070 is the same one I've had in my previous i7-2600K build, and I had never had any such microstutter nonsense before. It is not always present, but just often enough to get annoying. Start up Overwatch, and thing run well for a while and then you get random micro-stutters every now and then. Since I was new to using the nvme stuff I wasn't quite sure. First sign of things not being quite right, the m.2 nvme SSD I used for the boot drive seems to running hot and doesn't seem to want to idle or cool down too quickly. Obviously, I had to pry and check over things like CPU load, temperature, etc. They do say ignorance is bliss, or curiosity kills the cat. And on the surface everything was working and seems to be fine. I'd not bother reinstalling windows from scratch, just cloned an existing install, and then uninstalled the old drivers and installed the new drivers. Everything came together fairly well and got all the stuff to fit and wires hidden in the little Lian Li PC-Q10WX case. I was doing a pair of i7-7700K mini-itx builds with the GA-Z270N-Gaming5 motherboards. Well it turns out it was clean until I installed the Gigabyte utilities.īTW anyone know if there is GA-Z270N-Gaming5 owner's thread anywhere? Can't seem to find it in the search

Even a clean windows 10 pro install did NOT solve the problem. It was frustrating 2 days trying to track down the root of the problem. I do NOT know how Gigabyte can put out crapware like this.
